Alfred Haberli designed floor lamp with a painted polyurethane body. Thanks to its state-of-the-art compact fluorescent bulbs, the Carrara produces a high brightness with very low energy consumption. Besides being particularly efficient, these are also dimmable like normal incandescent or halogen bulbs, because they are controlled by electronic ballast. The brightness produced by Carrara, diffused by a protective tempered glass, is 6,400 lumen with consumption below 100W, while that of a halogen is 5,000 lumen with a consumption of 300W.
