When the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman was introduced in 1956, there was nothing like it, and there is still nothing to equal it. Charles and Ray’s modern take on a 19th century club chair has not only endured for decades, it has become one of the most significant furniture designs of the 20th century—instantly recognizable and enduringly fresh. A universally recognized form, the set is available in a variety of veneers, upholstered in leather. Both the chair and ottoman are hand-assembled with great attention paid to the details and cushions are individually upholstered and replaceable.
